Maha Frangieh

Assistant Principal- Elementary School

Maha was born and raised in Lebanon where she studied Special Education at the University Saint Joseph. Later, she moved to the United States where she earned a Master’s degree in Special Education, with a concentration in Learning Disabilities, from the University of South Florida. Maha has over 15 years of teaching experience, most of it in America. She moved to Qatar in 2011 where she participated in the establishment of a new school as the head of the learning support and English as a Second Language (ESL) department at Qatar Academy Al-Wakra.

Maha first joined Wellspring Learning Community in 2017 as the English as a Second Language (ESL) coordinator. Two years later, she was appointed the PYP Principal and was in this role until June 2021. In parallel to her professional career, Maha is pursuing her doctoral studies in international education at the Institute of Education at the University College London (UCL). Her research interest is focused on international-mindedness in inward-looking societies.
