Maritza Vorster

Maritza Vorster joined GEMS Al Khaleej International School in August 2018 as the Primary Principal (KG – G2), and is excited to start her second year with the GEMS AKNS family. 

Maritza taught in South Africa, in various grade levels, over the period of 10years. During this time, she was awarded the best teacher award in inclusive education in South Africa. Maritza is entering her 9^thyear in Dubai, where she worked as the Head of Mathematics at an IB PYP school and Head of Faculty at the Ministry of Education in Abu Dhabi. Maritza holds a Masters degree in Inclusive Education and an Honors degree in Leadership and Management in Education from the University of South Africa. Maritza feels privileged to be a part of the GEMS AKNS community of teachers, parents and students that learns something new every day!
