Lost in Translation

GEMS Education’s Arabic Centre of Excellence was established with a bold vision: to transform how our children, across schools, experience and connect with the Arabic language through immersive learning, cultural appreciation, and innovation. Rooted in a deep commitment to Arabic language, Islamic values, and Emirati heritage, the Centre, led by GEMS Al Khaleej International School, aims to make Arabic engaging, accessible, and meaningful for every learner in the UAE’s multicultural community.

As part of this mission, we are delighted to introduce Lost in Translation, a playful new animated series designed to celebrate the beauty, humour, and everyday use of Arabic. Through relatable moments and light-hearted storytelling, Lost in Translation brings Arabic to life in a fun and engaging way for students and families alike.

Meet Mayed, Moody, and Yeddi Saeed, where a school morning, a prank, and one perfectly timed phrase changes everything. Some ideas take a little longer to take shape… and so do comebacks
