Rania Dabboussi

Rania is delighted to be for the sixth year at GEMS Al Khaleej International School. This is her fourth year as Elementary Principal for G3-G5, prior to which she held the position of Middle School Supervisor and Elementary Science Head of Department at GEMS AKNS.

Before joining GEMS AKNS Rania had experience in the USA teaching at a college level. In both communities, she focused on a holistic approach to child education. She is a passionate educator who is attentive to both academic achievement and social-emotional development of all students. At GEMS AKNS, she collaborated with a dedicated team to help develop and apply effective strategies and systems to positively impact students’ academic achievement and social-emotional status. Rania believes that “Education is the most powerful weapon that you can use to change the world” (quote by Nelson Mandela); and she is committed to lead her team to integrate educational best practices to attain student learning growth and proficiency in a safe and caring school environment. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and a Master’s Degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from California State University, Northridge. Rania has completed TELLAL GEMS Leadership Program Level 3 in 2017.
